Transforming collaborative learning with WolfVision systems
Introduction
The University of Bradford, located in West Yorkshire, UK, is a renowned educational institution known for its strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and student-centered learning. With a diverse student body and a commitment to excellence in teaching and research, the university has established itself as a leader in fields such as health studies, engineering, and management. Its dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment makes it a hub for academic and professional growth. Through strong industry partnerships and cutting-edge research initiatives, the university continues to drive positive change on a global scale.
As part of a comprehensive AV overhaul led by UK integrator Roche AV, the University of Bradford has reimagined its approach to hybrid and collaborative learning. WolfVision’s award-winning Cynap and vSolution MATRIX systems are at the heart of this transformation and they play a pivotal role in enabling interactive and flexible learning in a wide variety of teaching spaces across the campus. This installation underscores the University’s commitment to enhancing the student experience, ensuring its academic spaces are equipped to support modern teaching methodologies and evolving educational needs.
WolfVision's contribution to the AV transformation
WolfVision’s vSolution MATRIX technology has been deployed across multiple teaching and collaborative spaces within the University of Bradford. The Cynap system has introduced the possibility for seamless wireless collaboration, empowering students and faculty to interact dynamically and engage in hybrid learning like never before.
Cynap Pro was integrated into 15 medical teaching spaces as part of the Horton A refurbishment project. These spaces ranged from simple meeting rooms to advanced mock wards, ensuring flexibility for diverse learning scenarios. Four vSolution MATRIX-equipped rooms enable wireless collaboration between students and lecturers, allowing content to be shared across multiple screens within the mock wards. The rooms can either be used as four single classrooms, or can be linked together to operate as single teaching space. Integration with Clevertouch displays and PTZ cameras facilitated seamless hybrid learning, offering students an interactive, real-time experience both in-person and remotely.

In the Richmond Workshop area, WolfVision’s Cynap Pure Mini devices have been installed as part of an AV overhaul to enhance collaboration in midwifery education. The systems allow for wireless presentation, giving students and faculty the tools to share content effortlessly during hands-on training sessions. Cynap Pure Minis are combined with mobile displays and other AV tools to create versatile, connected spaces. These setups enhanced content sharing and accessibility, empowering students in disciplines such as midwifery and physiotherapy to support a new era of collaborative education.

The WolfVision solution has enabled hybrid learning in a way our students couldn’t experience before. Lessons are now collaborative and interactive, making learning more exciting.
Russ Hind Head of IT Service Delivery - University of BradfordOne of the standout implementations was the installation of WolfVision’s Cynap Pro in Horton Barn Lecture Theatre — a collaborative lecture theatre that now serves as a flagship space for the University of Bradford. The Cynap Pro system allows lecturers and students to share content wirelessly, transforming the traditional lecture format into an interactive experience. The vSolution COMPOSER feature of Cynap Pro enables easy drag-and-drop preparation and control of all content materials when using the twin screens in the room. A WolfVision VZ-3neo.UHD Visualizer has been installed on the lectern for use when presenting ‘live’ materials. Connection to the Cynap Pro via USB-C means that educators can control the Visualizer directly via the Cynap. Coupled with cutting-edge audio-visual components, the space provides an engaging environment that supports hybrid teaching models, making learning more collaborative and immersive.

The introduction of WolfVision’s technology has fundamentally transformed the University’s teaching model. Students now enjoy an outstanding collaborative and interactive learning experience, moving away from passive, lecture-led methods to more active engagement.
Russ Hind, Head of IT Service Delivery at the University of Bradford, commenting on the project, said “The Wolfvision solution has enabled hybrid learning in a way our students couldn’t experience before. Lessons are now collaborative and interactive, making learning more exciting.”
In total six Cynap Pro, 20 Cynap Core Pro and 49 Cynap Pure Mini devices have been installed on the University of Bradford campus.

WolfVision’s Cynap-based solutions have been instrumental in supporting the University’s vision for interactive and hybrid learning. By enabling seamless collaboration, wireless presentation, and hybrid teaching capabilities, WolfVision has helped redefine how education is delivered across campus.
This successful partnership highlights the potential of innovative AV technology to create inclusive, flexible learning environments that meet the needs of modern students and educators.
